ANSWERS
Does the Art Center represent only Michigan artists in its galleries?
The Art Center is committed to representing local artists. Both the Exhibition Gallery and the Spotlight Gallery feature exclusively Michigan artists. The Gallery Shop represents primarily local and regional artists. A small portion of Gallery Shop artists are selected from other regions because of their unique work.

We are happy to work on fulfilling special requests, on an individual basis. Each case depends on the artist and the time of year, among other determining factors. But we would be happy to try.
Do you have to be a member to exhibit your work at the Art Center?
Membership is required for The Annual: All-Media competition, a members-only show that has been a tradition since 1922 at the Art Center. This exhibition invites artists from all disciplines who are members to enter a juried all-media competition. Artists who are not members have the option of joining the Ann Arbor Art Center upon entry in order to participate in this exhibition. In all other instances, membership is not a requirement to present or show work for exhibition at the Art Center.
