I was a board member many years ago, and we’ve supported Art Center activities for many years. The gallery is a great arena for artists’ marketing. I’ve taken several classes - pottery mostly - for relaxation and enjoyment, and I’m no artist! The Center is a needed and positive attraction to town folks and visitors alike.

musings or facts and figures.....whatever strikes my fancy that I think may interest followers of the Art Center.
30X30 went off without a hitch this year and raised $6,700 for scholarships for youth at the Art Center. While that is the best news, it was also wonderful to bring many artists together who were great supporters of each other. It was fun to hear the conversations discussing techniques, sources for materials and other places to sell work. Another highlight, the two families to came and let their children pick pieces for their rooms. Facts and figures:
--Every artist sold work--some a few, many more than half. One artist sold 27 pieces, and commissions were paid on all sales.
--There were 67 people in line at 9:30 for the opening at 10 AM.
--People called in purchases based on pictures the saw of work on Facebook.
--An artist said her encouragement to become an artist was from courses at the Art Center throughout her childhood.
