When I first came to Ann Arbor in the early 80’s I didn’t know anybody. That was the great thing about the Art Center – you didn’t have to know anybody to become a part of it.  It was public, it was accessible.  It was a great way to get to know other people in Ann Arbor who cared about keeping the arts alive.  Now, I have a grandson who’s taken classes there.
