Ann Arbor, MI (August 8, 2017) — Returning this year is A2 Art & Brew, the Ann Arbor Art Center’s beer and bite tasting fundraising event taking place Thursday, September 28, 2017. During the event, downtown Ann Arbor bars compete to create to showcase their creativity with how food and beer complement one another. Tickets are $45 and are on sale to the general public August 11, 2017. Attendees must be age 21 or older.

Participating venues include The Beer Grotto, Isalita Cantina, Mani Osteria, Pretzel Bell, Old German, Conor O’Neill’s, Sava’s, Aventura, and HOMES with additional venues confirming daily. Voting for Best Brew, Best Bite, and Best Pairing will be voted on by the attendees and announced immediately following the event.

Returning sponsor Kit Wanty-Lambert of O & W Inc. says, “I’ve partnered with the Art Center in different ways over the last four years and am so excited that they are bringing Art & Brew back to downtown. Craft beer and food pairings are arguably the most versatile menus out today. With over 150 styles of craft beer in the market using an array of thousands of ingredients, you are bound to be surprised at the twists and turns a craft beer pairing menu will take you on. I am excited to bring fresh offerings from breweries near and far to be part of this amazing event.”

In conjunction with A2 Art & Brew, ICON Interactive will be releasing the updated version of the Art Center’s virtual exhibition app and will showcase artwork from the Art Center’s current September exhibition, In Transit, in each of the participating venues in a new and exciting way. September’s edition of Straight Up (monthly one-night pop-up art show at Alley Bar) is moving to Thursday for this month only and will take place from 7:00pm to 2:00am. This special edition of Straight Up is in collaboration with Pabst Blue Ribbon’s PBRART contest and will feature artwork from local artists inspired by the PBR brand.
