This introductory class will emphasize the design concepts and basic techniques used to create metal jewelry.  Students with previous experience may also join to refine techniques and develop style. Please bring a sketchbook and a pencil to the first class. Tuition includes a basic jewelry kit and 24 hours of Jewelry Open Studio time outside of class, but additional materials may need to be purchased.

COLOR ON METAL: AN INTRODUCTION TO ENAMELING

Enamel, one of the most versatile sources of rich, vibrant color, is made by fusing powdered glass to the surface of metals. Add to your skills with this beginning enameling class, designed for returning students who have taken the Introduction to Jewelry and Metalsmithing class or equivalent. A jewelry kit is not required, but students should bring their own 20 gauge copper sheet.
