Info:Participants will draw and paint observationally to create botanical illustrations in pencil, ink, and watercolor paint. Exercises taught in class will develop participants’ control of line, texture, shading and composition. Draw and paint directly from live plants such as vines, leafy tropicals, succulents, cut flowers and others. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of plant anatomy and botanical details which will foster more accurate and graceful drawings. Specific illustration opportunities include how to: develop expressive and accurate pencil drawings, stipple with ink pens, and layer colors with watercolor paints.
