Info:Encaustic is the ancient art of painting with a combination of beeswax, damar resin and colored pigments. The mixture is applied hot and each layer of wax is fused with heat to create a single bonded surface that is full of luscious color and depth. This class is appropriate for both beginning and continuing students. Through demonstration and independent work time, the participants will explore this flexible medium.
