Intro to Monoprinting

Info:Try something new with this fun and relaxing 4-week introduction to monoprinting! A monotype is a print made by pressing paper against a painted or inked surface. Learn the basics of monoprinting while creating your own unique, freeform images. Students will use and experiment with ink, plexi-glass, mark-making tools, textures, and other materials to make their monotype. They will also experiment with additional printmaking methods which may be combined with monoprint techniques. (Image provided was created with a combination of monoprint and intaglio techniques.) Students will explore and experiment with their own ideas. No prior experience in printmaking is necessary. Beginners welcome!
