Info:Join instructor Aaron Polk and learn new skills to create your own comics in this class designed for 9-12 year olds. Students will learn how to use four common tools in cartooning (shape, size, line, and color) to create characters readers will believe in, worlds they will love to explore, and stories they will never forget. Students will also start to explore professional digital art software to enhance their creations. Throughout the course, play with various formats such as mini-comics, serialized comics, and graphic novels, and try your hand at using many of the materials used by comics professionals. Students will be using laptops, wacom drawing tablets, and software provided by the Ann Arbor Art Center. Please do not bring your own equipment to class.
