 Straight Up, our monthly art pop-up, is going on a summer roadtrip!

This summer Straight Up will be popping in three locations in Ann Arbor and Ypsi, showcasing three artists, featuring live DJ performances, and free art-making activities led by artists and teachers. So mark your calendars and check out the details below:

On Thursday, July 19 Straight Up visits Ypsi with artist Olivia Rae Guterson!  We'll be at Hyperion Coffee [306 N. River Street Suite D, Ypsilanti] from 7-10pm, with live music by DJ Khlonez, and a free paint-your-own succulent pot activity!

Olivia Rae is a Detroit-based artist whose work is primarily expressed in black and white line making and obsessive pattern working that emphasizes the delicate beauty and balance of the human hand. Olivia Rae is also a member of Art Babes, an intersectional feminist art collective based in Detroit, Michigan.

On August 29th Straight Up is delighted to present artist, Jeremy Wheeler at Leon Speakers [715 West Ellsworth Road, Ann Arbor]. Join us from 7-10pm, with live music by Jeremy and Mariah, and a free screen printing activity!

Jeremy Wheeler is an Ann Arbor-based artist whose work is all about dynamic design and graphics through gig posters, illustrations, album art, comics, and more. Jeremy's designs are also the face of the ever-popular Blind Pig party series, The Bang!
