Ann Arbor Art Center Graphic Design Internship
Spring/Summer 2013
The Ann Arbor Art Center’s on-going graphic design needs include the design of postcards announcing that the new term of art courses, posters, flyers, on-line promotions, and special event invitations. Candidates should be proficient in some widely used graphic design software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) which they have access to on a lap top to be used while working at the Art Center and remotely The ideal candidate for the position would be somebody with enough knowledge and skill to be self-directed in terms of generating concepts and executing them through to completion once briefed by the Art Center’s Marketing Manager and Program Director. A willingness to collaborate is essential. This is a non-paying internship.
Duration: 6-8 weeks during spring/summer 2013
Time Commitment: Varies depending on project but would include at least one weekly meeting and work session at the Art Center (1-2 hours) plus self-directed work off-site as needed to complete project(s) in the agreed to time frame.
Eligibility: Current or graduated graphic design students with at least 2 years of formal graphic design education.
