A2AC Mission

Since 1909, the Ann Arbor Art Center has sparked creativity in people of all ages and artistic abilities. Our mission:

to be a contemporary forum for the visual arts through education, exploration, collaboration, and exhibition. We engage minds, expand perspectives, and inspire growth in students of all ages, teachers, artists, and the community.”

Through innovative programming, provocative exhibitions, wide-ranging learning courses, and a shop offering handmade artworks, the A2AC engages over 60,000 people annually in exploring the arts.

The Ann Arbor Art Center is a 501(C)(3) Nonprofit registered in the US under EIN: 23-7205537.

The A2AC, previously known as the Ann Arbor Art Association, was established in 1909. Since then, this vibrant and enduring visual arts organization has enriched countless community members’ lives in various ways through the years.
