Artists talks at the Ann Arbor Art CenterAre you an artist looking for a venue to connect with other artists? Would you like to learn about different topics of interest to artists in the community?

Our monthly Artists Meet & Greet Series, held at the 117 Gallery, are professional development events for artists where they can connect with the Art Center, network with other artists and attend talks by guest speakers.

Kim Jackson DeBord is an artist and educator working at the intersection of art, design & craft.  She earned degrees in Fibers from University of Michigan, Fashion from Parsons School of Design, and attended The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) as a Trustee Merit Scholar to earn her MFA in Fibers and Material Studies.  Kim taught at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Columbia College and Lill Street Art Center in Chicago. Since moving to Ann Arbor, Kim has taught at the Ann Arbor Art Center and currently is the Executive Director of FLY Art Center in Ypsilanti.  In addition to a studio practice, she has maintained a long career in freelance art and design.  Her work has been internationally published and exhibited.
