Nina Shahin is a conceptual painter focused on the use of color, space, and shape to create memoryscapes that challenge the traditional narrative of storytelling and remembering. Her work is an homage to the custodians of oral history in her lineage, most notably her 82 year old father. Nina studied Fine Arts at Eastern Michigan University before pursuing a career as a professional artist and natural wine director at Spencer Restaurant. In her free time she enjoys riding her bike and swimming in natural bodies of water.
