Curated by Detroit-based artist Jack O. Summers, this 117 Gallery exhibition includes artwork of everyday objects whose meanings are enhanced or subverted by the multi-dimensional interplay of text and images. Whether ads or zines, comic books or billboards, artists of all ilks have used combinations of letter and pictures to excavate truths of our daily lives.
