Pom Pom Planters

Brighten up your home with a handmade pom-pom planter! It’s a fun, colorful project for plant lovers.

Supplies

  • Pom-poms
  • An empty glass jar
  • Hot glue gun and if available, but liquid glue will work as well. If you opt for liquid glue, you will just need to be more patient with the dry time.

For my planter, I am using all small pom-poms, but don’t be afraid to get creative and mix and match sizes! Using both large and small pom-poms will give your planter dimension.

Step 1

To begin, glue the pom-poms on in a row that wraps around the base of your jar. Be sure to press down on the pom-poms to help them adhere to the jar. As you add new ones, also press them together to prevent gaps.

Step 2

As you continue to add rows, consider color placement. Do you want certain rows all in one color? Do you want to use primarily cooler tones or warmer tones? What colors look good next to one another?

Step 3

As you reach the top of your jar, align your final row with the jar’s rim. Just add rocks, soil, and your favorite plant, and your planter is complete!
