Meet Daniel Rivkin, a celebrity bartender who once purchased Arak (anise-based local alcohol) on the black market in Basra, Iraq! If that doesn't meet our qualifications, we don't know what does!
A little about Daniel: "As a TV journalist and strategic communications purveyor, I spent 20 years abroad before returning to Ann Arbor some 10 years ago. I have lived and worked in more than 70 countries and have a love of adventure. I am very happy to have found a home in this community and with engaging employment at the University of Michigan."
Why did Daniel agree to be a celebrity bartender? "My mixology represents a mix of politics, personal stories, found beauty, and experimentation. So I hope that somewhere in that brew, one can find a form of artistry. I'll consider it my first opening!"

Why did Daniel choose Ouizi's A2AC Mural as his cocktail inspiration? "The essence of SPRING! Don't we need it more this year than any before?! Hope springs eternal. Spring hopes are eternal. And... I have used many floral essences in my cocktails this year."

Did you like Daniel's "Field of Good and Plenty" the best? Be sure to vote below by 3:00pm on Friday, March 5! We will announce the winning cocktail at 7:00pm March 5th!
