We strongly encourage our food and beverage partners to keep food sensitivities and allergies in mind when creating the cocktails and bites. Ingredients for all food and beverages served will be available on-site for review.

ARTISTS

CLAY EXPERIENCE

“Besides working at the Art Center, I am a sculptor and am currently working on a new series, returning to my roots in figurative work and combining it with my more recent work in ceramics. There is nothing so magical to me as seeing an idea of a figure in my mind and watching it take shape in front of me.  The work I create is all about that connection between people, compassion, and understanding even when no words are said.”

“I am primarily a ceramic artist. However, I am also a sculptor, a painter, and a woodworker. When I create, I sketch my idea quickly and immediately proceed with the material, clay, or paint. I work better when I organically create rather than draft out the entire idea or process.”

DANCE PERFORMANCE

“This piece celebrates the joy of moving and sharing space with fellow movers. Some elements of this work are set while others will change and evolve with each run. The dancers fully embrace the possibilities of this specific space and event to give the audience a lively, thoughtful, one-of-a-kind movement experience.”

PUTT-R-ROUND POP-UP ARCADE

Putt-R-Round is the work of two Ypsilanti artists and minigolf enthusiasts, Jef Jenkins and Jade Weber. In 2022, after an inspiring previous year of non-stop minigolf course exploration, Jef was promoted to create a putt pool table to get them through the winter months. He began brainstorming additional game ideas and Jade was struck with the idea of a carnival-style arcade setup. By spring 2023, they had a traveling putt arcade to share with the world.

“Our goal in Putt-R-Round is to make interactive art that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and ability levels. Challenging our skills and trying new things in the presence of other people can be daunting, but it can also be a joyful, hilarious, and entertaining experience.”
