ABOUT THE ARTIST
Christian Stanley is a professional muralist based in Orlando, Florida.
His large-scale murals appear across the United States and abroad, often focusing on native species and environmental themes. In 2024, Stanley received a Gold National Mural Award for his mural Prairie Thunder and was recognized by Street Art Cities as one of the top muralists in the world. His distinctive use of layered marks and stylized realism brings attention to the beauty of the natural world.

Christian Stanley is a muralist known for large-scale public artworks that celebrate wildlife, natural landscapes, and the human connection to the environment.
His work often explores conservation themes. In his upcoming mural for Liberty Plaza in Ann Arbor, Stanley draws inspiration from the Huron River’s paddle culture and the wildflowers planted throughout the plaza gardens. The design brings together local ecology and recreation in a calm, structured composition that invites passersby to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the natural world.

ANN ARBOR, MI — Work is underway to add some color to Liberty Plaza’s concrete walls.
Christian Stanley, an artist from Orlando, Florida, said he’ll be in town for the next three weeks or so creating a public art mural at the downtown plaza off Liberty Street.
