About this Exhibition
Identity Passport is a collection of small-batch, home-created magazines (zines) and prints created with the intention of exploring queer identity, complex feelings, and creating a space to visually communicate freely. The artist uses these works to focus on and make sense of the past five years, both personally and globally. Using humor and emotion to elicit a personal response to the work, Teddy aims to connect and relate their personal experience with the viewers. All pieces are printed on a Risograph Digital Duplicator, which uses soy-based ink for more efficient biodegradability, and all frames were thrifted locally. In a chaotic world, we are still capable of creating beauty, doing our best for the planet, and maintaining a sense of humor.
