October 2017

Get inspired this fall! The Ann Arbor Art Center’s Fall Workshops are an invitation to explore fresh artistic techniques and materials while fostering creativity and dynamic means of expression through art! Led by a multitalented roster of instructors who share their expertise with students in a fun, collaborative environment, we give students a chance to produce a plethora of works ranging from handcrafted ceramic pumpkins to spooky clay houses to ethereal silk scarves. Whether you register with friends, family, or are flying solo, our hands-on workshops are not only designed to teach you something new, but are also fashioned specifically to let the the seeds of creativity take root within yourself.

Clay Pumpkin Making

Infuse the ubiquitous fall pumpkin with personality by making your own one-of-a-kind clay pumpkins! You will be guided through the process of fashioning these vibrant and unique decorations and all materials will be provided. You will receive your very own fired pumpkin creations at an approximate time of two to three weeks after the workshop ends.

Spooky Clay Houses

Give in to the undeniable allure of all things eerie and ghoulish—as we inch closer to the end of October—by crafting your own spooky clay house! Participants will receive their fired uncanny creations approximately two to three weeks after the workshop, just in the nick of time for Halloween!

Stenciled leaf Platters

This is your chance to enliven ordinary serveware by transforming it into a striking (and functional!) platter that reflects the constantly changing landscapes and colors of fall. All experience levels are welcome!
