Hi, I’m Rachel Derocher, one of the A2AC’s Education Coordinators.
I have a helping hand in our camp and ArtBox programs, along with coordinating art parties and team-building events. I was born and raised in Michigan but found my way to Ann Arbor about five years ago.
I love the quaint, organic journey that led me to the Art Center.
I started off as a curious Art Center Student, attending local learning events, classes, and exhibitions.
Eventually, I became a camp counselor at our Creativity Camps and worked as part-time help in our gallery shop. All along the way, I was welcomed by the Art Center family until I found myself a part of it.
My favorite part about working at A2AC is the creative, fun team I get to collaborate with each day.
I’m always down to go explore a new trail, especially if I can bring a dog along.
Outside of work, you’ll find me befriending and looking after all sorts of critters throughout the Ann Arbor area.
Animals really are the best company!
