Taylor White

Taylor White is an American figurative artist who engages with the fundamental elements of being.

Taylor has exhibited internationally from Melbourne to Berlin, LA, Miami, Atlanta, Chicago, and Detroit. She has contributed to events for Juddy Roller, Outer Space Project, Richmond Mural Project, Murals in the Market, Branded Arts, BLINK Cincinnati, and SCOPE Miami Beach.

“I work in a 1500-square-foot studio in Raleigh, NC.”

Combining refined techniques of classical training with bright, unexpected color choices born from the residue of street art and pop culture.

Taylor’s work explores how we experience the formless chaos of potential through being and how the order we inhabit can sometimes dissolve backward into the incredible complexity from which it emerged.

“Most mural works are rendered on a computer and tablet.”

“But I have space to spread out when making larger-scale paintings or other projects.”

Value Study for the Clinc, AI building in downtown Ann Arbor.

Commissioned by the Ann Arbor Art Center and Clinc, the mural considers the relationship between humanity and technology as we move toward a future in which these elements are fundamentally interwoven in everyday life.

She has been taking a break in 2022 to recover from an injury. She is working on a project with AC Hotels and looks forward to seeing her work rendered in tile for Kane Realty Corp in Raleigh. She will be designing some new murals for residential development in Durham by the end of the year.

“I’m excited to get back into mural work this fall.”
